Photo recovery and rescue

The thought of it makes us shutter....we accidentally erase the digital images stored on our memory card. Maybe the card was incorrectly formatted or the losses were caused by battery or system failure. Problems can arise if a card is removed while an image is still in the process of being written to it.

Can lost images be recovered? The answer, in all likelihood, is YES!

There are many digital photo recovery and rescue programs available. They are capable of recovering data from cards such as CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital and IBM Microdrive. Most programs cost around $40 (about 34 euro). These programs are well worth the investment when you need to recover lost photo, video and animation files.

The photo recovery process can be easy, fast and painless. Understand, however, that recovery is not guaranteed and not always 100% effective. Sometimes no file recovery is possible.
